How Samsung Has Brought Immersive Viewing Experiences to More Viewers with HDR10+
In the two years that have passed since its introduction, HDR10+ has not only been revolutionizing the home entertainment market but has also debuted on a variety of other devices, including smartphones. Bill Mandel, Vice President of Samsung Research America’s Digital Media Solutions Lab, sat down with Samsung Newsroom to provide an update on how far HDR10+ has come since 2017.
Samsung Debuts “Connected” Pop-Up Store Solution for Retailers at National Retail Federation’s BIG Show 2018
Pop-Up stores let retailers activate short-term physical retail opportunities, such as seasonal trends or product launches. Samsung Connected Spaces delivers an Internet of Things (IoT)-ready solution that provides retailers with data and insight on key store factors – including customer traffic, dwell time, and demographics (age & gender) – that can be measured for specific times and areas in a store.

Samsung and Cisco Team with Verizon to Deliver First Interconnected Multi-Vendor 5G Trials
Each location offers a unique set of test parameters, including vendors, geographies, population densities and demographics, and the Ann Arbor location is the first to tackle a multi-vendor deployment of 5G. The solution includes a 5G virtualized packet core as part of the Cisco Ultra Services Platform with Cisco Advanced Services and Samsung virtual RAN solutions (vRAN), paired with Samsung’s 5G Radio base stations and 5G home routers that will deliver broadband services to Verizon’s trial customers.
Samsung and eSilicon Taped Out 14nm Network Processor with Rambus 28G SerDes Solution
Additionally, Samsung named its newly developed full 2.5D turnkey solution, which connects a logic chip and HBM2 memory with an interposer, as I-CubeTM (Interposer-Cube) solution. This 14LPP network process chip is the first product that Samsung applied I-CubeTM solution together with Samsung’s HBM2 memory. The I-CubeTM solution will be essential to network applications for high-speed signaling, and it is expected to be adopted into other applications such as computing, server and AI in the near future.

The Exynos 8895 is an octa-core processor, comprising of four of Samsung’s 2nd generation custom designed CPU cores for improved performance and power efficiency in addition to four Cortex®-A53 cores. With Samsung Coherent Interconnect (SCI) technology, the latest processor integrates a heterogeneous system architecture that allows faster computing for a wide range of applications such as artificial intelligence, and deep learning.
Samsung Introduces Wi-Fi Solution for Hospitality at HX 2016
